In 2002, Dusty and I moved to central Alabama from Louisiana. With this move, I have “retired” and get to pursue my love of quilting full time. What I thought would be a hobby after purchasing my Gammill Optimum Statler Stitcher in 2006 has grown into a wonderful job and teaching opportunity.

Southern Belle Retreat was started to provide a full Statler educational opportunity. It has grown and expanded to 3 weeks with 2 sessions in the Spring and 1 in the Fall.

As co-owner of the Skill Builder Club, Joyce Lundrigan and I prepare a different CS project each month for members to learn the CreativeStudio techniques and build their skills in the comfort of their own studio.

I’ve traveled the country teaching at educational events and conduct CS classes here at my “Barn”. Students constantly inspire me to learn something new and push the software to new limits.

To coordinate with these teaching opportunities, I added full length CreativeStudio instructional videos on a range of techniques.

In 2016, it was a huge honor to be named the MQX Teacher of the Year which is a student nominated and student voted award.
